ARNABEET MAKES THE HEART BEAT

WHO WE ARE

means cauliflower in Arabic. It also means crispy, golden, tahini-drenched cauliflower from a recipe Mouna grew up eating in Aleppo — and the kitchen that grew around it.

Set up by Mouna after a career in human rights, it's about more than great Syrian food and delicious Middle Eastern flavours — it's about breaking boundaries, changing perceptions, and bringing people together around a table.

Our recipes come from Aleppo and across Syria — rooted in tradition, shaped by the many cultures that have passed through the region, and with a modern Syrian twist that's entirely our own.

WHAT WE DO

We serve Syrian street food — and quality is non-negotiable. Our food is about sharing our heritage and culture through a celebration of delicious flavours using much loved family recipes.

We source our ingredients with care and try to be sustainable and locally sourced when possible. The packaging is eco friendly.

In Syria we have a saying that “the eye eats before the stomach.” That’s why we make sure all our dishes are a feast for the eye - they’re bold, beautiful and inviting!

THE ROAD SO FAR

Since we set up our catering company Mouna’s Kitchen in 2018 we have catered for many private and business events ranging from small private dinners, to large weddings and corporate events.

We expanded into street food in 2019 with                       and were proud to join KERB shortly after.

During lockdown we switched to high end home delivery and were able to trial 100+ recipes. It also allowed us to employ four refugees and continue with our social mission.

Winner of the female food founder award, we opened a permanent stall at Mercato Metropolitano in Elephant and Castle in 2021 where for 2 years, we have been able to further refine our street food menu and engage with our customers on a daily basis.

In 2023 we opened a new stall in KERB’s Seven Dials Market on the ground floor, rounding out our offering and delighting our customers with even more flavours.
