A Story of Food, Heritage, and New Beginning
I'm honored to share that my journey from Aleppo to London will be featured in The Unknown Chefs, a documentary series now streaming on Apple TV and Prime Video.

This series tells the stories of four refugees – from Syria, Namibia, Nepal, and Uzbekistan – who had found a home at London's Mercato Metropolitano. Through our food, we share not just recipes, but our heritage, our families, and our identities as we build new lives in Britain.

The first episode follows my story and the food stall at Mercato Metropolitano that became my first kitchen in London. It's a place where I could share the scents, flavors, and memories of Syria – keeping my culture alive through every dish I prepared. This documentary is about resilience, the immigrant experience, and how food has the power to connect us all, no matter where we come from.
